WELCOME TO GAME-HUNTER PRODUCTIONS
Songwriting, Arranging, Recording, & Producing Is Our Passion!
My songwriting & producers philosophy is quite simple: collaborate with the best of the best and create meaningful songs with catchy melody, clever lyrics, simple chord structure, memorable chorus (hooks), & simple song structure and to always showcase the artists (vocalist or instrumentalist) I'm working with and to also let the music breath.
Greg Hunter was born and raised in Washington, DC in the early 1960’s and has been a professional musician & audio engineer since the early 1970’s. My passion is in songwriting, vocal arranging, and music production. I've been often described as a multi- genre songwriter/music producer. Most favorable genres include (R&B, Neosoul, Contemporary Jazz, Acid Jazz, Hip Hop, & Pop). My love of music, and musical DNA runs very deep and strong within my family. My late father, Roscoe Hunter was an accomplished professional drummer playing and recording several jazz albums with (The Buck Clarke Quintet) back in the late 1950’s & early 1960’s. He also played regularly at DC's historic Howard Theater, Bohemian Cavern, and other venues along DC’s infamous U Street NW night club scene. Greg along with his brother (Vince Hunter) and cousin (Darrell Dean) had played with many bands/musicians while growing up but began seriously pursuing the music business and our collective creative interest in songwriting, arranging, & producing of our very own music in the late 1970’s. Luckily, the creative energy hasn't stopped.
Greg has produced and worked with countless local artists over the years and still enjoys working with up and coming young talent as well as other established artists. I love writing, co-writing, performing, producing and collaborating with an experienced team of other professional (musicians, vocalist, lyricist, arrangers & producers) on exciting new projects.
